Breweries

Better Water Makes Better Beer …Watch Video!

There are four ingredients that make up good beer … yeast, hops, malt …. and of course … water. Many hours go into the choice of the first three … but often the main ingredient that makes up over 90% of beer …. water … is an afterthought.

An analysis of your water is a great start. Maybe your water smells a little, leaves stains on the sink or tastes of chlorine or organic material.

Reverse Osmosis systems remove up to 99.8% of dissolved solids from the water by passing water through a semipermeable membrane under pressure.  RO will remove most dissolved solids (ions) and other constituents that can give the beer an inconsistent taste.  The result is water that is very low in minerals and alkalinity.

Many beers can be brewed with RO water without any modifications, but there are recipes that are enhanced with the addition of some minerals such as sodium chloride, baking soda, gypsum, epson salts, chalk, and some others. Together these are known as “Brewing Salts”. The important part here is to start with a clean slate … pure water from an EPRO RO. The best water for brewing beer!

Depending on the size of your operation, EPRO has a unit to match your demand.
